Basically, he's like John Dee... but more mysterious. And possibly with some shadier and odder moments lurking in the back of his particular cupboard. Some say he was interested in alchemy, others said he was more involved in witchcraft. Others said eternal life was more his area of interest. All I know is that his works can be brutally tedious for a new reader. At least Beffle cuts to the good stuff...
